Scientists from KEMRI-Wellcome Trust visited Kachororon, Vipingo, Mtepeni secondary schools for career talk. The scientists interacted with over 700 students from the 3 schools and advised them on different research careers.

44 students and 2 teachers visited KEMRI and learnt about science careers, health research and toured the microbiology and immunology labs. Scientist from KEMRI also visited Vipingo Secondary school for a career talk.

The 56th edition of the Kenya Secondary Schools Science and Engineering Fair Competition went off successfully on Friday, 16th March 2018. Held at Malindi High School within Kilifi County, the exhibition featured an array of interesting projects across eleven categories.

 

This year, organisers were particularly keen to ensure the activity is strong on science without being too adversarial hence a good platform for young learners to interact and enjoy their science. A delegation from the KEMRI – School Engagement Programme was on hand to review projects, give feedback and donate prizes for best performing presentations.
